Rick Smith is co-founder and artistic director of Chorus Angelorum. With a distinguished career as a church musician, choral director, singer, music arranger and composer, he envisioned and organized the ensemble with Mike Davis in 2001. After returning to St. Petersburg as former music director at St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church, Rick resumed conducting duties with Chorus Angelorum and occasionally sings with the ensemble, as well as contributing his own compositions and arrangements for the group to perform.
P. Michael Davis
Mike Davis is an accomplished vocal and instrumental musician, arranger, conductor, educator and podcaster. As co-founder of Chorus Angelorum with Rick Smith, he directed the ensemble for several years while Rick was pursuing his music career in California and North Carolina. Mike currently serves the group as administrative and producing director, as well as a singing member and works with Rick to introduce new works that expand the group’s repertoire of musical genres.
