How We Began
Chorus Angelorum began in 2001 as a Renaissance and Early Music a cappella vocal performance ensemble. We cherish sharing and introducing the works of that period by composers such as Giovanni Gabrielli, Orlando Gibbons, Thomas Morley, Claudio Monteverdi, Heinrich Schutz, and Giovanni Palestrina.
Music for Today
A passion for performing great music has led us to embrace a wider range of styles and allowed us to explore and connect with new audiences while honoring our roots.
We now perform music of the Baroque and Romantic periods, early 20th century works, American composers, world music, and even contemporary and popular styles.
Chorus Angelorum concerts are an entertaining and enjoyable mix of musical styles with commentary about the historical and artistic significance of the composers and their works.
The Iona Consort
While our concerts always feature exceptional a cappella works, we have also introduced instrumental performances by The Iona Consort, an outstanding chamber ensemble of professional instrumentalists including members from The Florida Orchestra who are invited to join us for specific works.
Together we offer the very best of choral, instrumental, and combined musical performances.
